Client Continuum of Care:

Professional Guide Services

The duty and purpose of a Professional Guide is to intercede therapeutically 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the identified person on behalf of the client.

The Professional Guide is responsible:

  • To insure the well-being of the identified person and support the most optimal outcome possible for the person and the client.
  • To protect and maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the identified person, the client, and
  • To assist the project to remain "on track, on time, and on budget".


Professional Guidance Series:

  • Professional Guidance Services.
    • 24/7 - Duration of travel, business, event, or project including therapeutic leaves of absence.
  • Professional Appointment Assistance.
    • Short term - Door to Door; Home to Facility; Facility to Facility; Facility to Home; Medical; Legal; or other Appointments.

Throughout the duration of the Professional Guidance and Appointment Service, professional counseling is immediately available for the identified person. Concerns about alcohol, drug, and other addictions are addressed professionally and personally at the moment of greatest need -- discretely and confidentially.

Individual counseling is provided according to the treatment plan of record, continuing care plan, or an individualized, short-term treatment plan may be drafted for the identified person to coincide with the environment and the schedule of the travel, business, event, or project.

Additional Services Available Prior to, In-transit, or During Treatment:

  • Family/Significant Other Interviews and/or Home/Life Assessments.
  • Collection of Collateral Information (e.g. employment, medical, legal, etc.).
  • Alcohol and Drug Assessment.
  • Mental Health Status Exam.
  • Dual Diagnosis or Co-Occurring Disorders Placement Recommendations.
  • Initial Development of ASI, Alcohol and Drug Use History, or Psychosocial Assessment.
  • Preliminary Identification of Treatment Plan Problem Areas.

At T. L. Wentz, Ph.D. & Associates three levels of Professional Guidance Services are available. Dr. Wentz is the Primary Provider at Level I and the Lead at Levels II and III.
